Listening to the Word

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1 ESV)

“What came into existence was Life, and the Life was Light to live by.” (John1:4  The Message)

His name is Jesus.  Those who follow him and choose to live on mission with him are learning to listen to his Word.  This adventure of learning to listen to and obey the Word of God will change our lives.

Join Randy Friesen in a daily adventure of listening to and obeying the Word.  Daily scripture readings take you through the Old and New Testaments each year.  The daily devotional thought is based on what Randy heard that morning, helping each of us learn to listen to the Word for ourselves.

Journaling what we hear and then how we will respond allows us to remember, reflect and reinforce what the Lord has been saying to us through his Word. 

I read until something impacts me (could be a question I have or an application I'm thinking about).  I like to write down the verse, and then what I sense is important for me to listen to that day, as well as why.  My prayer of response indicates my willingness to follow through.  You'll need a bible, a notebook and a quiet place.
