 Exodus 35-36; Acts 10 

“Then Peter began to speak: ‘I now realize how true it is that God does not show favouritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right. You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all…While Peter was still speaking those words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message.”

Acts 10:34-36, 44

This God-ordained visit by Peter to Cornelius’ house changed the course of mission history to include every nation and people group on earth. God does not show favourites. Some nations and people fear God and do what is right while not yet understanding the good news of Jesus and the peace that God offers to everyone who believes. God’s mission heart is to reach these people with his gospel. For those among us who know the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is available to fill us and empower us to live on mission with Jesus.

What is God’s invitation to us?

“Lord Jesus, thank you for inviting me to salvation, to be filled with your Holy Spirit, and to join your mission, for your glory.”
