Holistic Gospel

 Job 2l; Mark 5-6 

“…Then Jesus went around teaching from village to village. Calling the Twelve to him, he sent them out two by two and gave them authority over evil spirits…They went out and preached that people should repent. They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them.”

Mark 6:6, 12, 13

If the discipling ministry of Jesus is to be our model, we, too, must learn to preach repentance, drive out demons, and anoint sick people with oil for healing. Where this holistic gospel approach is practiced, the kingdom of God is advancing forcefully. There are ministries that preach repentance, but are hesitant or uncomfortable to practice deliverance from unclean spirits or for physical healing. Other ministries pray for the sick and focus on the sign gifts, but overlook repentance. Jesus equipped his disciples to both proclaim and demonstrate a holistic Gospel that transforms the heart, soul, and body in the power of the Spirit.

Are we experiencing and sharing this holistic Gospel as we live on mission with Jesus?
