Centered on God’s Glory

 Ex 39-40; Psalms 15; Acts 12

“Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. Moses could not enter the Tent of Meeting, because the cloud had settled upon it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle…whenever the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle, they would set out;…”

Exodus 40:34-36

The Israelite tribes tented around the tabernacle as their center. The primary feature of the Tent of Meeting was the living presence of God expressed in a cloud which rested on the tabernacle. It’s interesting that when the glory of God filled the tabernacle it was impossible for Moses to enter, even though it was called the Tent of Meeting.

Are we centered on the gloried of God regardless what that means for our worship? - Or have the rituals of singing, preaching and giving actually become our focus, rather than the glory of God?

When was the last time we sensed the glory of God in a physical experiential way?

Is the glory of God our focus or have we found another center, even a religious center?

“Lord Jesus, your glory is changing me and I repent for all other “centers” which pull me away from you.”
