No Hesitation

Leviticus 20-22; Acts 20

“’You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publically and from house to house…For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God.’”

Acts 20:20, 27

What makes us hesitate when it comes to communicating God’s truth to others?

We can fear rejection by them, or insecurity if they are in some way contributing to our support. Paul’s testimony after years of ministry in Ephesus was that he had held nothing back. He felt free to let the Spirit of God speak through him in every context, circumstance and relationship.

Can we say the same?

The freedom to communicate fully the whole will of God as we understand it requires great humility and courage. Ministry was not about Paul, and it’s not about us. It’s about the glory of God and his kingdom coming and his will being done here as it is in heaven.

“Lord Jesus, I pray for your boldness to speak your heart and will in each circumstance, for your glory.”
