The Light Of Jesus

 Isaiah 60-62; John 1

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you…Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn…the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.”

Isaiah 60:1, 3, 5

When we live for the glory of the Lord, we reflect that glory to the world around us. The presence of Jesus is attractive. The spiritually dark nations of the world are attracted to the light of God’s presence.

Will we unashamedly radiate the light of Jesus wherever we go?

Jesus alone can heal wounded hearts and lives. He is our peace. The longing of the world for peace will only be satisfied in Jesus.  Wealth is one of the ways that the nations will say thank you to Jesus and his kingdom for bringing them peace. When the glory of the Lord is our focus, wealth is a gift we give, not an idol we worship.

“Lord Jesus, we will reflect the light of your presence so that the nations may find their peace in you, for your glory.”
