God’s Presence Changes Everything!

Genesis 39-41; Luke 16

Genesis 39:3, 4

God’s presence, blessing, and favor on our lives are our strongest witness to the reality of God. When our words and lives are not congruent, our witness to Christ is damaged. Joseph was known as a man who was full of the Spirit of God (Genesis 41:38). Rather than alienate others, the presence of God in Joseph’s life, despite the shamanism and spirit worship of the Egyptians, gave Joseph favor.

What do we trust in for advancement at our workplace and in our community?

The presence of God sustained, blessed, and marked Joseph’s life, and God’s presence will impact us in the same way. Inviting God’s presence, surrendering to his presence, and honoring his Spirit’s presence is a better way to live, regardless where we are.
