Our Offering to God
Isaiah 65-66; Psalms 62; John 3
“This is what the Lord says: ‘Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be? Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?’ declares the Lord. ‘This is the one I esteem: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.’”
Isaiah 66:1, 2
What gift do you get the person who has everything - in the case of the Lord, the Person who created everything?
Fortunately, he has told us what he wants; those who live with humility (revealed in how we respond to correction, critics, and crisis), repent quickly for their sin, and honor God’s Word by listening and obeying. God loves to pour favor on people who respond to him in those ways. In response to the gift of salvation, we have the opportunity each day to offer God the gift of our lives.
“Lord God, all I have is yours, for your glory.”
