Sealed for Salvation
Ezekiel 17-19; Revelation 7
“Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: ‘Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.’”
Revelation 7:2, 3
Those who belong to Jesus have been sealed by the Spirit of God unto salvation. This vision of John included an angel putting the name of the Lamb and the Father on the foreheads of those sealed or set apart for salvation (Revelation 14:1). We bear the name of the Lord Jesus and the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved. The name of Jesus has authority to deliver from sin and death. The enemy has no authority over those sealed by the Lord Jesus Christ! In an age of tattoos, there is no more essential mark than the name of Jesus written over our lives. In the spiritual realm our mark is visible to the powers of darkness.
Have we been sealed?
“Lord Jesus, thank you for the seal of salvation confirmed by your indwelling Spirit, for your glory.”
